  • Most people describe it as a deeply relaxed state — like that calm, floaty feeling just before sleep, or being absorbed in a good film. It can be a comfortable, peaceful, and pleasant experience. Different people will have different experiences.

  • Absolutely — you're always in control. Think of it like a guided meditation: I'll walk you through the journey, but your unconscious mind acts as a gatekeeper. Your values and morals remain fully intact throughout, and you simply cannot be guided to do or say anything that goes against who you are.

  • It varies depending on what you're working through. Some people notice significant shifts after just one or two sessions. Others benefit from an ongoing series. We'll discuss a realistic expectation during the first session.

  • Yes — this is one of the most common reasons people seek hypnotherapy. By working directly with the subconscious, we can calm the underlying patterns that fuel anxiety and create more peaceful, resourceful responses to life's challenges.

  • Hypnotherapy is completely safe and has a solid body of research behind it. It's used widely in clinical settings around the world. The key is that you need to be open and willing — the subconscious responds to genuine desire for change.

  • No. The hypnotic state is naturally self-limiting, much like sleep. Just as you don't worry about getting stuck asleep when going to bed at night, the same is true here. At some point your mind will always return to full waking awareness on its own if not prompted. During sessions the hypnotherapist will guide you back at the end of the session.

  • Both options are available. In-person sessions are held in Sydney. Online sessions via video call are just as effective for most goals. We can discuss which format suits you best when you reach out.
